Our Campus
CA's beautiful campus provides learning in an idyllic setting.
Colorado Academy's verdant 94-acre campus is delightful, whatever the season. Students, staff, and parents can take a run on the Dos Chappell Trail or enjoy a stroll across campus on the way to lunch at the Campus Center. There are wooded walkways, green quadrangles, and athletic fields that invite outdoor play, and Woody’s Pond beckons young scientists to nature’s classroom. Free-standing sculptures—each created or given to the school by a CA alumnus or parent—dot the campus, and the academic, arts, and administrative buildings blend the best of old and new. CA's Athletic Center opened in 2019, and the new Leach Center for the Performing Arts debuted in August 2021.

The Lower School
Grades K-5 academic classrooms, library, science room, and iLab computer and maker space. -
Chowdry Middle School
Grades 6-8 academic classrooms and a Community Room. -
F. Charles Froelicher Upper School
Grades 9-12 enjoy a naturally lit, modern building. -
Pre-Kindergarten
Two Pre-K buildings—the Cottage & Casita—are joined by a shared playground. -
Athletic Center
Field House, Gyms, Climbing Center, Wellness Center, Sports Performance Center, and more. -
Athletic Fields
CA has multiple fields—both grass and turf—for athletics at every level. -
Campus Center
Dining Hall, Bookstore, Meeting Rooms, & more -
Leach Center for the Performing Arts
CA’s home for performing arts, including a 500-seat theater and Black Box Theater. -
Ponzio Arts Center
Space to create and display visual arts for all grade levels. -
Raether Library
Library for Middle and Upper Schools, with maker space labs and some Middle School classrooms. -
Schotters Music Center
Includes an ensemble room, recording and composition studios, music classrooms, choir room, private lesson studios, and a dance studio. -
Sculpture Garden
The CA campus is rich with sculpture throughout. -
Carolyn Smith Center
Houses administrative offices, the CA reception desk, Alumni Conference Room, and mailroom. -
Welborn House
Home to the Admission and Business offices of Colorado Academy. -
Woody's Pond
Showcases a freshwater learning environment on campus, and includes the Polk Science Center.
